Claire Verity Claire Verity spent most of her childhood in
South Africa and from a very early age developed a keen interest in drawing animals, particularly horses.

After her schooling she returned to England determined to make a career in art.

Claire began painting professionally in the early 90's,working from her Studio /Gallery in Herefordshire. The Gallery is open to the public where most of her recent work is on display and her commissions are undertaken.

Using both oils and pastels, her techniques are traditional. Claire draws her inspiration from the countryside around her, with a special interest in the play of light on subjects in their natural surroundings.

Whilst achieving a remarkable likeness with her commissioned portraits, Claire has a great ability of capturing the character and particular personality of her subjects. This has been widely recognised and for this reason commissions now play a major part of her work.

Exhibited with both the Society of Equestrian Artists and The Society of Wildlife Artists at the Mall Galleries in London.

Hung in many galleries, notably the Tryon Gallery in London and John Noott Galleries in Worcestershire.
